Extra credit (2 point) – Attend an Organic Chemistry Seminar
Attend an Organic Chemistry seminar at a nearby university and write a summary summarizing what the talk was about.
Due date: Summary due at the start of the final exam
Requirements of the summary to get full credit:
Title of that day’s talk
Date, Time, and Location (include the name of the University as well as the specific Building and Room Number)
The speaker’s name and academic institution the speaker came from
One chemical drawing in Marvin Sketch related to a structure or a reaction that the talk was about
At least one paragraph, but no more than one page
Describe one question that someone asked at the end of the talk and describe the speaker’s answer (just the basic gist of it)
Describe one question you might have wanted to ask the speaker (related to the talk) if it was your turn to ask a question
Include the statement "On my honor, I sign here to confirm that I indeed attended the talk above and have based it on my own notes." Then sign your name at the bottom.
