A.P. European History: One year elective focusing on the development of modern Europe in the political, economic, religious, social, intellectual, and artistic spheres. Culminates in May with the Advanced Placement test.
Applied Economics I: One semester elective focusing on basic economic concepts such as scarcity, allocation, roles of public and private sector, economic theorists, as well as microeconomic concepts such as demand, supply, equilibrium, etc.
Applied Economics II: One semester elective focusing on basic macroeconomic concepts such as the role of money, the federal budget, fiscal and monetary policy, and a history of U.S. economic crises and their causes and consequences -- hint: greed may have been involved.
Comparative African American Studies: One semester elective focusing on African American culture, politics, economics, society, and art, with emphasis on conquering seemingly insurmountable obstacles from 1619 to the present.
Honors World History: One year "self-selected" class to satisfy freshmen requirement of World History. Focus is on reading and analyzing primary documents from around the world from the 13th century to the present.
