All About Mr. M.

My career in Olmsted Falls City Schools began in 1989, and this year I am excited to begin my 35th year teaching 5th grade in a community so committed to education.   This year I am teaching science and social studies to the students on our team.  I believe that education should be student-centered, hands-on, thought provoking, and engaging, to help students be prepared for a future profession in the 21st century.

In addition to my classroom duties at Olmsted Falls Intermediate School, I also teach an after school physical education class to 4th and 5th grade boys.

I grew up in the small town of Carrollton, Ohio and earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from The University of Akron.  I also received my Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University.

I have been a resident of Olmsted Falls/ Olmsted Township for over 25 years.  My wife, Jennifer, a Bulldog alum, is a 6th grade teacher in the Avon Lake School District.  My daughter, Carson is an 8th grade special education teacher at Strongsville Middle School, and my daughter, Camryn is an event coordinator for the Crown Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square
