JROTC, also known as the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, is a high school course that teaches leadership and motivates young people to become better citizens by allowing students to work together in teams in order to teach others as they grow into adulthood. In JROTC, cadets will learn the 7 Values of Leadership, as well as how to apply them in their everyday lives, such as through group projects or sports teams. Cadets will also learn the value of giving back to their community through service events, such as reading to elementary school kids, picking up trash off the highway, or placing American flags on the graves of veterans.
