The Razorback Battalion is always working to better each other and the community around us. We do many types of community service projects, some of which are: Parking for Oktoberfest, putting flags on Veterans graves for Veterans' and Memorial Day, helping Wildwater Rafting get ready for the upcoming season, as well as Color Guards and Honor Guards for veteran recognition. For further information on these events, slips will be given out in classes.

Highway Clean-Up
Once every two months, the battalion heads out on busses to clean up along our very own, South Carolina Highway 11. We take time out of our very busy schedules to help the environment and the state of South Carolina. Each clean-up session is about 1 1/2 hours of service for each of our three classes. If you ever see us out in our safety vests, honk or give us a wave!
Our JROTC program is in charge of parking at Walhalla Football games. Every home game we will help students, parents, and visitors park safely and efficiently. Cadets from selected companies volunteer individually and will be rewarded for hard work with either a free pass into the game or a free item from the concessions stand. Most times for parking you will wear Class C and a reflective vest. There will always be an upperclassmen and county sheriff there to help.
We are also in charge of parking at Oktoberfest, an annual festival held in Walhalla, SC. Cadets will wear Class C and get in free to Oktoberfest after their shifts. The parking shifts are throughout the three days and last from 10 am to 12 am. There will also be a town sheriff and COL. or 1SG there to insure our cadets are safe as well.
Twice a year, the Razorback Battalion heads out to our local Seneca Walmart to raise money for the Flags for Vets program. This program raises money to place flags on veteran gravesite and to honor passed veterans. Their goal for 2019 is to honor 400 veterans and 14 Medal of Honor recipients. Each of our fundraisers collect over a $1,000 for this program.
On October 29th, 2019, the Razorback Battalion partnered with the 'Rise Against Hunger' foundation and raised $3,800+ to host a meal packaging event. We packaged a total of 10,000 meals for countries in need and affected 30,000-40,000 people. 'Rise Against Hunger' plans to end world hunger by 2030 and we are proud to say that we did our part to assist them in their goal.
