Battalion Marksmanship team competes in the Civilian Marksmanship Program 3 position Sportsman Air Rifle events.  We traditionally compete in 2-3 Regional Shoulder to Shoulder matches against Regional Marksmanship teams and 1 or 2 Postal Tournaments a year.

SJHS JROTC are 2025 2nd Place HCS Marksmanship Championships; 1st-3rd places 2025 Aynor Marksmanship Open; 2nd Place 2021 Aynor Marksmanship Open; 2016 HCS Marksmanship Champions. 2018 Runner-ups, 2019 and 2020 3rd place.  NO MARKSMANSHIP SY 22-23, 23-24 DUE TO DRONES.

The team is comprised of 10 Cadets, making up two 4 person teams (w/2 alternates)

As we approach a competition top 4 Cadets will make the Shark 1 team and the next 4 the Shark 2 team.

We utilize Crosman Challenger CH2009S Air Rifles w/.177 flat nose pellets utilizing a Air Rifle 10 target, 10 meter target. Those on the team will provided/assigned a Crosman rifle.  If you want to purchase your own, they are aprox $725 on Amazon.
