About Me

My name is Sandy Stubblefield.  Welcome to my Honors Spanish 1 class! I am delighted to have the opportunity to be working with you this year. I love teaching Spanish 1 to middle school students and I look forward to a great year with each of you! We will work hard together to start you on your learning of a foreign language. Be prepared to learn MUCHO!  I have high expectations of you and we will have a positive year together!

I began teaching at this school in August 2006.  I am married to David and we have 2 sons - Jonathan and Christopher.  We also have a 2 daughters-in-law, Erin and Kristin!  Jonathan is an anesthesiologist in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He graduated from medical school at UTMB Galveston.  He did his residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, and then a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology in Charleston, South Carolina.  Erin is a Physician's Assistant.  She works for gastroenterology doctors in Chattanooga's largest hospital. They have a cat named Dexter and a dog named Arthur.  My younger son, Christopher, graduated from SMU in Dallas as a trumpet performance major.  He recently graduated from The Juilliard School in New York City with a Masters of Music in Trumpet Performance. He married Kristin Hodges in the summer of 2022.  They met while studying at SMU.  Kristin is a Music Education major and is currently the elementary music teacher at a school in the Dallas area.  When I am not teaching or studying Spanish, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, cooking, listening to classical music (especially trumpet solos!) and spending time with friends.  I look forward to getting to know all about each of you as we spend this year together.

In November 2010, I was named the Teacher of the Year for Coppell Middle School North.  It was a great honor.  I have loved teaching at this school for many years.  I love what I teach, I love who I teach and I love the people I work with!

I retired from teaching at Coppell Middle School North at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.  It was a bittersweet decision, since I have loved teaching at this school and in this school district for 17 years, but the time has come for me to retire.  I hope this website will continue to be a source of 1st-year skills and helps for all who use it.
