Spears Kindergarten Expectations

Behavior: Minor and Major Infractions/Consequences
Minor Infractions-
Examples include but not limited to this list:
· Excessive talking out of turn or at inappropriate times
· Not keeping hands, feet, or objects to self
· Not staying in seat or carpet spot
· Off task behavior
· Disrespectful language or behavior
· Non-compliance
· Misuse of materials/equipment
Consequences:
· 1st incident: Verbal warning
· 2nd incident: Loss of privilege
· 3rd incident: Contact parent
· 4th incident: Conduct referral
If we notice repeated actions (less than 5 incidents in a day) across several days, we will call home and communicate that with parents as well.
Major Infractions-
Examples include but not limited to this list:
· Threats towards students, school, or staff
· Violence
· Stealing
· Persistent misconduct
Consequences:
· Parent communication
· Parent conference
· Office referral
Positive Behavior Support
Individual Reward
Students will be rewarded in many different ways for positive behaviors in class. Some examples of things we will use this year are:
· Tickets and treasure box
· Gotcha tickets
· Lots of praise and acknowledgement of kiddos doing amazing things.
