My name is Margaret Meyer and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year! I have been teaching Kinder at Spears Elementary for three years but stepped away in 2024 to be at home with my husband and I's first child. I am so excited to be back at my favorite school and teach my favorite grade for a fourth year! I am originally from Orange Grove, Texas, a small town outside of Corpus Christi but have lived in North Texas ever since graduating from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) I love being surrounded by family, close friends, and have a passion for growing students. I love doing whatever it takes to make all students be successful in and outside of the classroom. Hi, my name is Amy Mears and this will be my 14th year teaching at Spears. I have lived in Frisco my entire life and graduated from Frisco High School (The Original) as a third generation graduate. Growing up in Frisco, I knew I could never leave and jumped at the chance to work at Spears! I graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 6th grade. When I am not teaching, I am at home with my husband, Steven of 20 years, my daughters Kaylee (17-Senior) and Kenzie (11- 6th grade), and my maltipoo, Zoe. I love watching movies, being outside and watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and the Dallas Mavs. One neat fact about my family is that Bledsoe Elementary is named after my grandpa, Calvin Bledsoe, and Trent Middle School is named after my uncle, Daryl Trent! I am so excited about this school year and look forward to a great and successful year!

Hi, my name is Bailey Hammond and this is my third year teaching at Spears Elementary. I am originally from Tyler, Texas and I am thrilled to join the Frisco community. I graduated from Harding University in Arkansas with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education K-6. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling and was able to live in Greece for a semester during college. I love taking my Border Collie on walks, baking, and spending time with friends and family. I strive to make my classroom an inviting and empowering place for your student. I am very excited for this upcoming school year and look forward to working with you and your child!

My name is Sheri Mahaffey. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten in FISD! I moved to Frisco in January of 2020 and absolutely love the community! I have taught Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten since moving from Michigan. I have a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Michigan University in K-6 and have since pursued certification in Texas in EC-6. I have enjoyed working with early childhood aged students for as long as I can remember. I truly love to work in this age group! I am married with two daughters, Cate and Ellie. We also have three much loved dogs, Alice and Cooper. I enjoy reading, spending time with family, tennis, and relaxing in the sun by my pool. We are also busy watching swimming and cheer competitions for my girls. My goal is to build a relationship with all my students while having fun learning and reaching their goals. I have no doubt this will be a great year!
