Jr. - read as Junior, refers to a son named after his father

Sr. - read as Senior, refers to a father that has a son when they both have the same full name

St. - read as Street, refers to a street name

apt. - read as apartment, refers to a suite of rooms forming one residence

misc. - read as miscellaneous, refers to consisting of diverse things

etc. - read as et cetera, refers to something used at the end of a list to indicate that further, similar items are included
