Megan hastings

     My name is Megan Hastings, and I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade this year.  This is my tenth year at Purefoy and my 25th year in education. 

      I attended Stephen F. Austin State University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in reading. I have taught multiple grade levels and absolutely love teaching 5th grade.  

     I have two children. My daughter, Ella is a freshman at Wakeland High School and my son, Will is in seventh grade at Griffin Middle School.  I also have a loving boyfriend named Jason and two bonus kiddos named Griffin, who is 8 and Genna, who is 5.

     In my spare time, I love to travel, shop, bake, and spend as much time with my family.  I look forward to partnering with you to make sure your child has a successful school year!
