Hi!
My name is Shelley Herd. This will be my fifth year teaching and my fourth year at Ogle Elementary! I graduated from Texas State University in 2020. My husband and I have a one-year-old baby girl, Abigail, and a five-year-old Labrador Retriever named Hunter. When I am not at school I enjoy diving into a good book, playing with Hunter, and cherishing moments with my family. I am so excited for this school year and am looking forward to getting to know your student!

Hello!
My name is Janie Enriquez. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, but have been living in DFW for 15 years. I graduated from UT Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. This will be my 5th year teaching at Ogle. I've taught 2nd grade for 10 years, and this will be my first-year teaching 3rd grade.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a husband who is also a Teacher and a football and basketball Coach at Liberty High School in Frisco, and my daughter, Hannah will be a Senior at Liberty High School as well. I have 2 older sons, Chris and Andrew, and the most adorable grandson, Orion Luka. I also enjoy golfing with my husband, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and going to concerts and sporting events!
I am excited for this upcoming school year and ready to meet all of you!

My name is Virginia Bickel, and I am thrilled to begin my fifth year of teaching! I was born and raised here in Frisco, and moved back to the area after I graduated college. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma where I received a degree in Elementary Education. Boomer Sooner!
In my spare time I love to cook, spend time with my family and friends, do crafts, play games, and binge watch my favorite tv shows. I married my wonderful husband Jackson in November of 2024, and together we have a chocolate lab named Kenai. We are obsessed with him!
I am so excited to meet you all and can’t wait for a fantastic year!

Hello!
My name is Kristi Nash. I am really excited to be a third-grade teacher this year! I can’t wait to meet all of you! I love teaching students and learning from my administration, colleagues, parents, and most of all my students! We are going to have an amazing year together! I was born and raised in East Texas. My family and I moved to McKinney 6 years ago. We love living in the area and being a part of Frisco ISD! I love spending time outdoors with my family and friends. I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. This is my third-year teaching at Ogle. I can’t wait to meet each of you and see you shine, grow, and excel into the amazing individual that you will be this year!

Candace Powell
Hi, my name is Candace Powell and I will be teaching 3rd grade math and science. I have spent 9 years in education in many different roles, from the classroom to corporate. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and my master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. When I’m not in the classroom, I love being with my family and friends, singing karaoke, and baking delicious treats. I’m looking forward to an amazing school year!
