We are happy to announce that we will be using Artsonia once again this year. Artsonia is an online digital portfolio and school art gallery. By using Artsonia, students will learn how to take pictures with iPads, edit and crop their artwork. Students will also add a title and an artist statement describing their artwork. This is a great way to incorporate technology and writing into the Art Room. You will also be able to share your child’s artwork with family and friends.
You will receive an email from Artsonia giving permission so your child’s artwork can be featured on Artsonia.
Permission to use Artsonia must be given each school year. If you already have an Artsonia account, you will use the same Screen Name and parent code.
After giving permission, you will receive a Screen Name and a parent code. By giving permission and activating your account, you will be able to:
-View the artwork in the school art gallery
-Receive notification of new artwork published
-Approve comments left by family and friends
-Purchase keepsakes from the museum with your child’s artwork imprinted on it, and 20% of the revenue is donated back to the school art program to purchase art supplies.
