Hi! My name is Tabatha Fahrney and I am excited to be your teacher this year. This will be my tenth year teaching in Frisco, but my 23rd year of teaching overall. I started out teaching Kindergarten in Virginia and then took some time off to stay home with my children while they were younger. I moved to Frisco in 2001 and after my youngest child started school, I went back to my teaching career. I taught 10 years in Little Elm in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and ESL before moving to Frisco ISD.
I have an Early Childhood Education degree from Roanoke College in Salem, VA and I am also certified in ESL (English as a Second Language).
I have been married to my husband Matt since 1991 and we have 3 children. Jenna is my oldest and she is a first grade teacher at McSpedden. Austin works for ALLY Financial. Evan works for Martin UAV building drones that are used for surveillance. All three of my children attended school in Frisco ISD and graduated from Wakeland HS.
When I am not busy with school, I enjoy reading, swimming, watching football and soccer. I also love to spend time with my family, especially my two granddaughters.
I am looking forward to an exciting year in Kindergarten full of fun and learning.
