Welcome to 5th Grade!

My name is Kelly Head and I am so excited to be a part of the 5th Grade Isbell Team again this year!  This will be my 8th year teaching 5th Grade here at Isbell.

I grew up in nearby Plano, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with my degree in Education and a minor in Mathematics.  My family and I have been a part of the Frisco community for the past 22 years.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Scott, for 28 years, and we have three great kids!  My oldest daughter, Lauren, graduated from Texas A&M in 2023, moved to England to get her master’s degree, and is now back in Frisco working.  My middle daughter, Sarah, will be a senior at Texas A&M and plans to graduate in December, and my son, Luke, will be a senior at Liberty High School.  All three of my kids attended Isbell from kindergarten through 5th grade!  We also have two sweet dogs, Toby and Percy. 

My teaching experience includes upper-level elementary school, middle school math, math intervention, and many years of private math tutoring.  I love teaching math by making it fun and challenging, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing students grow in both their abilities and confidence!  I am ready for another great year and cannot wait to get started!
