Hi there!

My name is Sydney Orr, and I’m so excited to begin my sixth year of teaching Kindergarten at Anderson! Being a part of such an incredible school and community means the world to me. I am honored to have been named Anderson Elementary’s Teacher of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year. It is a privilege to do what I love each day, and I’m thankful to be a part of our wonderful school family.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas—Axe ’Em Jacks!—with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

When I’m not at school, you can find me reading, journaling, watching a movie, enjoying the outdoors, shopping, or trying a new restaurant!

It is a blessing to be a part of Anderson Nation, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher! As we begin this journey together, please know that I am committed to making sure your child feels loved, supported, and encouraged each day. I am dedicated to leading a classroom rooted in patience, compassion, and purposeful learning, where every child feels known, valued, and encouraged to grow. Thank you for trusting me with your little one as they begin their academic adventure. It’s going to be a wonderful year! 🤍
