Hi there!
My name is Sydney Orr, and I’m so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching Kindergarten here at Anderson! Being a part of such an incredible school and community truly means the world to me—especially because Anderson holds a special place in my heart. Believe it or not, I was once a student here myself in fifth grade! It’s such a sweet and full-circle moment to now be teaching at the school that had such a positive impact on me as a child.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas—Axe ‘Em Jacks!—with a degree in Elementary Education.
I’m the oldest of three, with a younger sister and brother, and I’m incredibly grateful for my two amazing parents. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our precious pup, Piper! We’re a close-knit bunch and love spending time together. When I have time to myself, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hiking trails, spending time outdoors, shopping, and trying new foods.
It is a true blessing to be a part of Anderson Nation, and I am overjoyed to be your child’s teacher! As we begin this journey together, please know I’m committed to making sure your child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to grow each day. Thank you for trusting me with your little one as they begin their academic adventure. It’s going to be a fantastic year!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
Sydney Orr
