About Me

Hello! My name is Jamie Heijnen and I teach choir and secondary general music in the Franklin Public School District. I received my degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 2009. I taught general music at St. Anthony School of Milwaukee from 2009-2012, and have been teaching in Franklin ever since.

I live in St. Francis with my husband, Kris and our son Oliver. I really enjoy passing on my love of music to my students. If they can walk away for a greater appreciation for music and performance at the end of their tenure in my choirs, I know I have done my job. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, camping, spending time outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.
