Our unit for April, will be Holocaust/Genocide studies. Ms. Elson and I wanted this unit to be meaningful to the students and focus on areas that they are interested in learning about. Instead of having an end of unit test, we have created an inquiry-based project that allows the students to explore the tragedies of the Holocaust and other examples of genocide. I have attached the project description, checklist of tasks, and the grading rubric. The students will be able to use over two hours of class time to research the information for the project. The poster boards will be provided to the students by the end of the week.
