Meet our Team

Hi Everyone,

My name is Renee Blakie and I will be your child's Early Entry Program (EEP) Teacher at St. Martha School.

I was born and raised in a small community in northern Ontario called Manitouwadge. I attended Catholic School from kindergarten to Grade 8, followed by the only high school in the town. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

My family and I moved to Fort McMurray in November of 2012 from Hinton, AB to further our careers. We have been loving every minute of it! When I am not working I am spending the majority of my time with my daughters, husband and dog. The rest of my time I enjoy everything from cooking to snowboarding!

This will be my sixth school year teaching EEP at St. Martha. Prior to that I taught Grade 5 at Sister Mary Philips School for several months. I have a passion for education that I am excited to enhance and share with your child.
