Beat the Heat

 First Steps Community Playgroup has played a prominent role in nurturing the children within Exeter for over 40 years. 

Our first setting was based in St James' Church Hall. Due to growing numbers of children, we moved to our new site in 1999 and extended our service hours.  In 2002 we moved to our present site and in 2007 we began to offer breakfast facilities.
By 2023, we had fundraised enough for a replacement building on our current site.  

We are a charitable organisation and are managed by a parent committee. Our committee do lots of fundraising throughout the year and all monies raised are put towards enhancing the Playgroup facilities and equipment for our children.
