You can still be a part of our act of literary and artistic service:
Find a short, school-appropriate poem... say between three to five minutes long. This poem may be in English or Spanish. You are welcome to select a poem from the Poetry Out Loud collection, available on the library palette of online resources, or record a poem that you wrote.
Set up a comfortable space where you will record yourself reading the short poem.
During your video session:
Greet your audience and introduce yourself. For example: "Hi Franklin Tech, this is... "
Give the name of the poem and the poet. For example: "The poem I am reading is... by... " If the poem is in a printed book, please show the front cover.
Pause for a second, then clearly read the poem at a moderate pace.
Pause for a second, then politely wrap up your recording. For example: "I hope you enjoyed the poem," or "Thank you for listening!"
Post the video to your FCTS G-drive and share it with Mr. Keniston, or send the recording to his email address wkeniston@fcts.us. Thank you!
