BMS Intramurals

What is intramurals?  The goal of the Beaumont intramural program is having fun and being active—while developing new skills, working together and practicing good sportsmanship. Activities take place before school starts in the BMS gym. Activities run for about an hour beginning at  7:30am on designated days for each grade level.

A roster must be submitted for a particular sport in a “season,” details about dates will be announced through the Beaumont Homestretch morning news show, projected in the café throughout the lunch block, Mrs. Porter's website, posted on the gym wall outside of the gym across from the counseling office and sent weekly through the Beaumont Newsletter. 

 If a student is interested in participating in any of the intramural programs, YOU are responsible for picking up a roster, turning it into the appropriate grade level folder by  the intramurals directors by the designated due date.

Mrs. Porter only facilitates intramurals.  She does not put students on teams.  

no students may NOT enter the gym unless allowed in by mrs. porter.

Due to lack of interest, 6th and 7th grade WILL NOT have soccer intramurals.  8th graders will play on the following dates:

We will do a double elimination tournament the morning of 5/5/23 to determine a champion!

Mrs. Porter is now accepting rosters for 4 v 4 world cup soccer.  Team names must be countries represented in men's or women's world cup.  To be eligible for play you must have an eOS of 90% or higher from March 20th-Aprill 11th and must maintain it throughout the season.  If you receive a discipline referral during the season you are ineligible.  Rosters are due by April 11th.  No more than TWO Dunbar, Lafayette or club players allowed on a roster.  Play will begin April 17th at 7:30am.  $1 per player due the first day of play.

6TH GRADE:

Feb 28th, Mar 10th and 13th

8th Grade: 

 Mar 1st, Mar 8th and 15th 

Champions will be determined by win/losses. $1 per person due on the first day.  7:30am in the BMS gym

THERE IS NO 7TH GRADE INTRAMURALS 

(EXCEPT FOR THE 2 TEAMS THAT TURNED IN ROSTERS) DUE TO LACK OF ROSTERS!  

Mrs. Porter is now accepting rosters for 3v3 March Madness Basketball.  Team names must be NCAA basketball teams.  No more than 2 BMS or High School players allowed on a roster.  Rosters may be picked up outside the gym on the wall across from the counseling office.  Eligibility is based on eOS from the dates of 2/6 -2/22.  Particpants must have 90% eOS between those dates and MAINTAIN it throughout the season.  $1 per player and play begins Feb. 28th at 7:30am in the BMS gym.  

There has been a change in dates for volleyball intramurals for 6th and 8th grade only!

Play dates are as follows:  

6th grade:  Nov. 28th, December 14th and January 9th

7th grade:  Dec. 2nd, Dec. 9th and Jan. 11th

8th grade:  Nov. 30th, December 9th, December 14th and Jan 11th and 13th

Mrs. Porter is now accepting rosters for 6 v 6 volleyball.  Roster may be picked up outside the gym doors across from the counseling office.  Teams MAY NOT have more than 2 BMS/PLD volleyball players.  Rosters are due by November 22nd.  Participants must have an eOS of 90% or better during sign ups.  They must maintain a 90% eOS and receive no discipline referrals during the season.   $1 per player and play begins Monday, November 28th at 7:30am in the BMS gym.  

Eligibility to be able to play are based on the dates from November 7th-November 22nd.

Play dates are as follows:  

6th grade:  Nov. 28th, December 5th and January 9th

7th grade:  Dec. 2nd, Dec. 9th and Jan. 11th

8th grade:  Nov. 30th, Dec. 7th and Jan 13th

Mrs. Porter is now accepting rosters for 4 v 4 MLS/NWSL soccer.  Team names must be MLS or NWSL teams.  Rosters are due by October 19th. Play will begin October 24th.  Only TWO PLD/club soccer players allowed on a roster.  Participants must have and eOS of 90% or better (Sept. 19th-Oct. 19th determines eligibility. Participants also cannot receive any referrals during the season.  $1 per player and games begin at 7:30am. Rosters may be picked up outside the gym doors across from the counseling office.  Play dates are as follows:

 Mrs. Porter is now accepting rosters for 3 v 3 NBA basketball.  Roster may be picked up outside the gym doors across from the counseling office.  Team names must be NBA team names.  No more than 2 BMS/High School basketball players allowed on a roster.  Rosters are due by August 31st. $1 per player due on the first day of play. Play dates are as follows:  

• Sept. 6th, 12th, and 19th 8th grade

• Sept. 7th, 14th, 21st 7th grade. 

• September 9th, 16th and 23rd 6th grade.

To be eligible students must have and eOS percentage of 90% PRIOR to and DURING the season! eOS will be checked between August 14th-August 31st.  NO REFERRALS DURING THE SEASON!  That will result in removal from roster.
