I am so excited for this year!
I am a blessed wife and mother of four! My husband, Ryan is a doctor of Chiropractic in Ste. Genevieve and a youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve. We are very active in ministry. I taught reading for two years for Farmington Middle School and then library for seven before having four little ones. I come from a talented family of teachers and musicians. We love to travel and spend time with family!
When my twins were born we decided I should take a few years off...then we had another child! I stayed active in our church library, in preschools and substitute teaching. I am ready to be back teaching full time and am so excited to be at Roosevelt! This will be my 4rh year at Roosevelt Elementary Library! We have a working MakerSpace, plenty of Reading Counts incentives and amazing books for every reader. The Roosevelt Library is a place for all types of learners!
Library is my passion. I love books, love to research, love technology and all it can do for us in education. The library media specialist is a teacher who collaborates with other teachers to enhance what they are learning in the classroom. This role has evolved over the years and it is an exciting time to be a library media specialist. It's not just about books anymore. Libraries are an instrumental hub in education and can be a benefit to all of the teachers and students. I am excited to be a future ready librarian here at Roosevelt! #futureready
