Tryouts 2024 - 2025

Tryouts for the Fargo North Dance Team are open to any girls and boys that are current 6th-11th graders. Tryouts for the 2024 - 2025 season will be on May 6th, 7th, 9th, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm and final tryouts in front of the judges on May 10th starting at 4:30 pm. 

We will be hosting various prep clinics for all dancers interested in trying out for the Spartacas Dance Team, these clinics are not required to tryout for the team, they are an additional opportunity to learn the skills in advanced while working with the coaches to make tryouts go smoothly. These will be held on:

April 18th, 2024: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm @ Ben Franklin Middle School - Cafeteria

April 23rd, 2024: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm @ North High - Main Gym

Informational Dancer Meeting on April 1st @ North High in Room 102 from 4:00 - 4:30 pm

Informational Dancer Meeting on April 8th @ Ben Franklin Middle School cafeteria from 4:00 - 4:30 pm

Informational Parent Meeting on April 15th @ North High in Room 102 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm

What to expect at tryouts. Tryouts will be held at Fargo North High School in the SpartanDome - Main Gym. You will be expected to learn a variety of skills (listed in the tryout skills button) along with a short routine mix of Jazz and Pom. Dancers will be divided into small groups to execute their skills and routine for the coaches.  The final team roster will posted after tryouts are finished. Us coaches are looking for positive individuals who are eager to learn and are willing to push themselves as dancers. We understand tryouts can be stressful but always strive to create a comfortable/fun learning environment for all dancers.  We hope to see you at tryouts! -FNDT Coaches
