Rehearsal Expectations
Students will be active participants in all classroom activities. Students are asked to demonstrate proper rehearsal etiquette (posture, focus, energy) at all times.
Timeliness
Early is on time. On time is late. Late is unacceptable.
To be counted as in class on time, you need to be walking to your seat with your folder already in hand when the bell rings.
Rehearsal Focus
Excess talking and chatting is a distraction to yourself and others. Talk only when it is appropriate so it does not deter from the learning environment of others.
Pencils should be in hand and ready to go whenever we are looking at and talking about the music.
Respect for Each Other
Choral programs are based on strong relationships, and every member of the choir must work together while working towards the greater goal. All members of the choral program need to put aside personal agendas and focus on what they can do to achieve the highest choral standards. Choir members work together to create a welcoming, positive environment where others are not after to try their hardest.
Respect for the Space
-Only water is allowed in the choir room: No food, gum, soda, or colored drinks.
-Ask for permission before using the choir room stereo or the piano.
-Keep chairs neatly lined up and folders put away in the correct places.
