International Master Gardener Conferences (IMGC) are held every two years (odd years) and provide an opportunity for EMGs and Extension staff, faculty, coordinators, and specialists to come together and learn through seminars, tours, and networking, while also convening committee meetings and exchanging ideas and concerns.
During each International Master Gardener Conference Search for Excellence (SFE) Award winners are recognized program of the Extension Master Gardener (EMG) volunteer work throughout the United States, Canada, and South Korea. SFE has six categories ( Youth Programs, Demonstration Gardens, Innovative Projects, Workshops/Presentations, and Special Needs Audience). SFE winning projects show significant learning took place, whether by the EMG or the general public.
