Meet your teachers

Meet Mrs. Moore

I'm Mrs. Moore. I have lived in Evansville for 10 years. We moved here from Clearwater, Florida. My husband and I are originally from northern Indiana. We even went to elementary school together (he pushed me off the slide in 4th grade!). We went to Ball State University together for our undergrad degrees. I have received my Master's in Education from Olivet Nazarene University. We have two lovely (and lively) kiddos, Hannah (9th grader) and Luke (7th grader). We have a busy house with the kids and a big clumsy dog, two feisty cats, a noisy guinea pig. My children have been part of ECS for many years and I was happy to join them. Mr. Moore joined the staff in 2015. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, second, third, and sixth grade. This is my seventh year teaching at ECS but it is my 16th year teaching. Third grade was my favorite grade in school and is my favorite to teach too!

When we are not busy with school and the kids' sports (baseball, so much baseball!), we love going to Holiday World! I also like to exercise, kayak, cook, sew and do all kinds of crafts. I love seafood and my favorite color is yellow.
