Original Project Objective:

The full product development roadmap includes 1) mechanical and electrical integration and test, 2)

controls development and sensor and navigation package integration, and 3) mission demonstration

and refinement. This project will focus on 1) mechanical and electrical integration and test of the

wheel and electric drive systems and is expected to result in a partial prototype that can be

demonstrated with a wired tether. A stretch goal would see the vehicle driven by remote control In

a parking lot. An existing CAD database can be used to capture design refinements and document

the project. Students will come away with machine design experience, battery-electric drive system

and component experience, and an attractive demonstration four use In job searches In these fields.
