Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Two segments assembled and controllable (Kevin N., Madatya).
Fabrication: Soldering and wiring connection for the two PCB Stacks was re-assembled and re-soldered (Kevin N., Madatya).
Control: Both segments operate. Now characterizing performance and optimizing parameters (Kevin N., Matthew)
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Determined the root cause for loss of communication between robot and PC (Kevin N.)
Electrical connection in between various pins for the PCB Stack were inconsistent
Accordingly, re-soldering of PCB Stack in areas where a DMM reads 0 Resistance was necessary
Retested two segments to confirm their performances (Kevin N., Madatya, Matthew).
Successfully calibrated and operated both segments (Kevin N., Matthew).
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Meeting Sponsor on 3/12 to discuss goals for the rest of the quarter and to assess segment performance.
Pass signal to second segment serially (through first segment).
If successful, try to actuate two segments together.
Finish Final Report.
Finish Hardware, Kinematics, Control & Operation, Performance, and Conclusion.
Finalize website.
Finalize poster.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Each segment is prone to connection issues due to large quantity of solder joints.
Twisted segments, string lengths, and "black box" are affecting performance.
Lack of mechanical performance impedes shape control.
