CAD of Final Prototype:
The CAD of the final design shows the rotation of the top of the cart with a stationary base.
Modifying baskets:
Steel rod was bent using rollers to increase the diameter of the cart
The new ring was attached to the basket by welds
Diagram of Centrifugal Break:
As the cart's rotational velocity increases, the masses are forced outward causing the break material to rub against the base plate.
Prototype of Component arrangement:
The circular arrangement of components allow the maximum amount of exposed surface area, as well as act as a universal way to house components.
Prototype testing:
Wire baskets were mounted at angles to test whether the component angle changes the washing effect. This test failed and proved that angle did not help washing.
Dirty Wire bars:
Riboflavin was used to identify residuals after cleaning. The above wire bars were not cleaned well, and so the riboflavin can be seen in the components in the bright green color.
Clean Wire bars:
The wire bars cleaned with the slowed spin prototype in the conveyor washer showed little to no signs of Riboflavin. The cleaned lids are depicted above with no bright green color.
