Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Spent an hour to debug the code for the board and suggested to modified the circuit (May 2nd in person).
Gave some suggestions on design of worm gear box.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Dr. T suggested to consider different material for motor mount, 3D printed material can not last long so many cycles (May 1st in person).
Dr. T suggested to use material other than aluminum for cam. metal on metal is not ideal (May 1st in person).
Dr. T suggested to constrain more on the finger box (May 1st in person).
Dr. T suggested to do analysis on contact stress (May 1st in person).
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Consider different bearing (needle bearing) that contacts with the cam.
Constraining issue on the pre-loaded spring box.
Risks and Areas of Concern
Accuracy of the fabricated worm gear box mount.
Limit switch mount issue. (Drilling holes or something else)
Resources or Information Required but not Available
More details on programming the motion control board. (Will discuss with sponsor on Tuesday)
