Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Design completed.
Almost done with fabrication.
Testing PID controls for weight shifting.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Completed and implemented code for closed loop control of linear slider.
Removed need for boost converters for stepping logic signals from controller to drivers - not responsive enough to use with PWM and driver threshold was low enough that they weren't necessary.
Begun fabrication of weight ballasting.
Designed electronics bay for keeping electronics and wiring neat and safe.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Tune PID controller. (Alejandro)
Ensure wiring is safe and properly routed. (Mingyi)
Finish ballasting system. (Kaveen)
Secure electronics in bay. (Miguel)

Would love to see system moving by next Tuesday

Acrylic is brittle, try Polycarbonate or redesign for aluminum.
Replace corner brackets with L brackets
Consider upgrading linear slider materials to final quality rather than 3D printed and plastic.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Beaglebone caught on fire, almost definitely due to two loose, unused wires that were hanging either shorting or touching a high voltage source. We think it was from these because the IC that controls these wires was the source of the flame. Need to check wiring before further testing. Using team member's spare Beaglebone for now until new order arrives.
