Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Metal tubes added to the device as a track for the stylet

  • 31g Stylet penetrates  6mm into ballistec gel, while 24g goes into 8mm

  • Stylet is now manually retractable

  • Since the device is one time use, for ease of use, the device will come preloaded opposed to reloadable now

Accomplishments from Previous Week

• • Device finalization with retractable stylet and fluid path

  • Adhesive pads for attaching the device to a patient has arrived!

  • Analysis has been added to the report

  • 2 additional devices printed out to be assembled

  • Fatigue Analysis of Torsion Spring

    • Linear buckling analysis may be more forgiving than curved beam buckling

      • Recommended not using solidworks FEA, so we didn’t

    • Rationalize why the ratchet and pawl design solution was chosen

    • Show off more analysis (i.e. dynamic system model)
