Overview of Project Context:

Our researcher studies how feeding times affects the health of mice. It takes a lot of labor to manually feed the mice at specific hours. Automated feeding cages exist but are very expensive. Our sponsor wants a cheap mechanism to fit in his cages that can control feeding.

Project Objectives

Concisely list and prioritize the project objectives and constraints

High Priority Objectives

• Create a prototype of cage that safely distributes or withholds food. Wants it to be easily programmable with Labview.

Second Priority Objectives

• Make the feeding system removable so that the cage can be easily cleaned. Wants it to fit within his current cage setup.

Third Priority Objectives:

• Make 8 of them running from a single laptop using Labview. Each should be able to have separate programmable feeding times

WOW Design Solution:

• Incorporate a scale that notifies you when food is low.
