As the sole proprietor of Magpie Studio, visual artist Melinda Barnadas has been producing scientific illustrations and plant and animal models for educational display in natural history museums throughout North America. As a current graduate student at UCSD in the visual arts department she is working to expand upon the technical processes, with which she produces art, to include more rapid prototyping technologies. This project began as part of her desire to facilitate learning through creation.
