I am loving Google Cardboard at the moment. I am presenting on Monday to a group of English teachers about how to apply Cardboard in their classrooms, but I'm having lots of fun using the apps and features for myself, my kids, and my drama students.
My favourite app at the moment is Virtual Speech. This allows you to make a speech to a virtual audience, and the app provides feedback on your number of hesitation words, pace of speech, and eye contact. I have been using it to practise impromptu reading and public speaking with my students. While the paid version has more features, the free version is sufficient for an introduction and a fun, engaging activity for beginner speakers. Just a tip: warn your office mates that you have it before you start trying it out. They give you some very strange looks when you start giving a speech in the middle of the office without warning!
