When she is not on the conductor's podium, she can be found on the stage at the Elbert Theatre, at her local church where she is the choir director, or cuddled up reading with her dog, Katie-Bug! Occasionally, she enjoys playing guitar and pickin' and a-grinin' with members of her extended family.
The chorus program at ECMS serves approximately 130 students in grades 6, 7, & 8.
Each year students are nominated based on previous performance to attend our District Honor Chorus. This year we had 7 students selected. They will attend rehearsal and perform at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. Check back for more about this event.
At the end of the school year, the chorus partners with the band to perform a concert for rising 6th graders. This is one of our favorite events!
LGPE is our annual competetion where we recieve judges' scores in performance and in sight-reading. There are 3 choirs from ECMS that attend each year. We are proud to say we consistantly receive superior and excellent ratings in both performance and sight-reading. LGPE is held at Jackson County High School.
