Celebrate Reading
At JMMES, we believe it's important to celebrate our accomplishments, especially when it comes to reading. When students pass a reading threshold, they will be recognized during morning announcements, and awarded with a reading rockstar bracelet.
Every Student, 20 minutes, Every Day.
Students who have reached 1,000 minutes will receive a yellow bracelet.
Students who have reached 2,500 minutes will receive a blue bracelet.
Students who have reached 5,000 minutes will receive a red bracelet.
Students who have reached 10,000 minutes will receive a black bracelet.
Learning Leadership through our Reading Initiative
Ms. Fromm and Ms. Allen's 5th Grade School Ambassador Leadership Class has been hard at work reaching out to the East Hampton community for prize donations, celebrating reading at John Marshall. These student leaders went store to store informing community members of our reading initiative. Community generosity was breathtaking. We are very grateful.
