We use Envision math.
When your child comes home with one of these colorful papers there is always an explanation of the day's lesson at the top. Often there are links to home practice as well.
We also do a daily math journal to work on our problem solving.
The most important skill you can work on at home is math facts. Children will learn how to add and subtract using number bonds. We will look at 'parts and wholes' of numbers. Here are a few videos to explain:

During the year we will have weekly Sprints. Children will be expected to know math facts fluently through sums of 10.
I will be signing our class up to use Xtra Math and Reflex Math to help with fact fluency. They will have a link from their clever account.
Other topics include: place value through 100, reading and writing numbers through 120, telling time to hour and half hour, identifying halves and fourths, identifying the name and value of coins, adding and subtracting two digit numbers, 2D and 3D shapes and measurement.
