About the Teachers

Welcome to our class page! 

My name is Marisa Smith, and I have been a teacher at FJS for 17 years.  This is my 19th year teaching first graders-and I am excited to teach our new class, and learn from them as well! 

I have been married to my husband for 13 years and we have a 10-year old daughter named Madelyn, a 7-year old daughter named Reilly, and our 3-year old daughter, Graycen.  They are the loves of our lives, and the students in our class will hear all about them.  We also have a fur-baby, our dog, Baxter.  The class will hear all about his naughty antics as well!

My name is Karen Ricciardi, and I am the inclusion teacher in our classroom. This is my 16th year teaching at FJS and my 22nd year teaching elementary school students. I am excited to have another year teaching first graders.
