MakerSpace

The East Haven High School Media has officially created a MakerSpace. A MakerSpace is a designated area of the library where students can actively engage in learning by creating. To describe a MakerSpace simply, it is a community center with tools. Makerspaces combine manufacturing equipment, community, and education for the purposes of enabling community members to design, prototype and create manufactured works that wouldn’t be possible to create with the resources available to individuals working alone.

This is also a place where students learn soft and hard skills to develop their own ideas for business.
