Policy and Procedures
The Library Media Center patrons will be guided by the following principles:
A respectful attitude toward staff and all other patrons.
A responsible and mature attitude toward the facility in general, i.e. furniture, equipment and resources.
A mindful adherence to school policies, copyright regulations, and to "acceptable use" of technology. Students in violation forfeit computer and/or media center privileges.
No food or drink may be brought into the LMC.
Personal electronic devices may be used with permission.
Visiting the Media Center
Students may use the media center before and after school without a pass as long as an adult is here to monitor.
During school, students may visit the media center with a pass from a teacher using a designated library pass.
Students coming to the media center should have something to work on or they may read quietly. If a class is using the media center, they may not disrupt the class.
Students not scheduled for a class may use the computers if one is available.
Students may not obtain a pass from a substitute teacher. See Mrs. Goraieb if you have a substitute and need access.
Circulation Policy
All materials borrowed for individual use must be signed out using a Student ID number at the circulation desk. Materials circulate as follows:
General Collection materials: 2 weeks
Reference and special items: Overnight with permission
Videos, DVDs, IPads circulate to teachers for student use
The media center does not charge overdue fines. However, all items must be returned in a timely fashion. Thank you for your cooperation.
