Author Guadalupe Garcia McCall's Visit

CC Winn was honored to have Mrs. Guadalupe Garcia McCall, award winning author of Under the Mesquite, visit the campus to discuss her novel. Under the Mesquite is a semi-autobiographical novel based on the author's experiences growing up in Eagle Pass, Texas and Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Mrs. McCall delivered a moving discussion in which she highlighted the importance of writing from one's experiences and the beauty that is the written word.
