On September 6, 2023 Counselors visited with 9th grade students through the Algebra 1 classes to review the Freshmen Seminar. Students learned about graduation requirements, the importance of attendance and the student code of conduct.
On October 4th, 2023 Counselors visited with 10th grade students through the English II classes to review the Sophomore Seminar. Students learned the importance of 10th grade to pre-register for dual credit classes and AP courses. Graduation requirements, the importance of attendance and the student code of conduct were also reviewed during presentation.
On November 8th, 2023 Counselors visited with 11th grade students through the U.S. History classes to review the Junior Seminar. Students were introduced to the college application process and completed a career interest activity to explore how their talents and likes fit into a career.
On December 13th, 2023 Counselors held their annual Parent Involvement Night for Mental Wellness. Parents learned breathing techniques and mindful strategies to relax. Atendees completed a yoga session and were treated to hot cocoa and sweets treats.
On December 14th, 2023 Counselors visited with 12th grade students through the English IV classes to review the Senior Seminar. Student learned about the financial aid application process and the changes that the new FAFSA will be having. All students are required to fill out FAFSA and it is a graduation requirement. The new FAFSA is currently under construction and will open by December 31st, 2023. All students can start working on creating the FSA ID for themselves and their parents if they have not done this already.
