Students can bring a backpack so that they can carry their folders and papers home.
Students should go to bed early and have breakfast so that they are ready to learn!
Please keep special items at home like favorite toys so that they are not lost at school or accidentally taken home by another student.
Parents should be ready to leave their students once school starts. This is difficult (It was for me too!), but necessary as it causes anxiety with other students whose parents have already left. It causes those students whose parents have left to wonder why their parents left and they begin to miss them, causing an eruption of crying in the class. We want those first days to be as positive as possible for all students!
Parents, have a plan for something to do after you have dropped your students off so that it is not so difficult for you. It is normal to feel separation anxiety and sometimes we worry so much about our children that we forget to take care of ourselves. If you are not going directly to work, plan to meet a friend, go shopping, make an appointment, but try not worry. I promise to take very good care of them and understand how important your children are to you!
