You have many options for obtaining your summer reading books. You can buy them, check them out from a public library, or, if you are a returning student, check them out as ebooks or audiobooks using Sora. Sora is OverDrive's digital book platform specifically for schools, and it is very user friendly.
Additionally, Dwight is part of a consortium called the Hudson Valley Library Association (HVLA), which provides access to even more ebooks! Instructions for how to access this collection can be found at the bottom of this page. Just remember to sign in with your Dwight username and password! Below you will find some additional information on accessing and using Sora.

Sora App- This app allows you to browse, access, and read ebooks and audiobooks from Overdrive. Download the app on your iOS device in order to have access to Dwight's digital collection wherever you are. This is probably the best way to access Dwight's ebooks, because you can search for books and read them all in one place. You can also access Sora in a browser if you prefer.
Instructions for Accessing HVLA on Sora
Go to soraapp.com. If you haven't used Sora to check out ebooks yet, select your school (Dwight School) and sign in with your Dwight username and password.
Once you're signed in, click on the 3 lines in the upper right corner, and click on 'add a library.'
Start typing in Hudson Valley Library Association. An option called that should pop up. Click on it.
You will need to sign in with your Dwight username and password again (annoying, I know! But you should only need to do this once).
That's it-you can start looking for books! If you use the menu (the 3 lines in the upper right corner), you can switch between your libraries; you can also check a little box when you're searching to show results from all of your libraries if you don't want to switch between them.
