Google Classroom Practice Sets
Practice sets allow a teacher to offer practice to his or her students on a topic or skill with the ability to have hints in the form of text or videos to help thestudents remember how tioi answer a question. This is just like in Freckle and Khan academy where in these two programs students will have a light bulb or some type of icon to get a hint. All the results from a practice set are captured so teachers can then see how students are doing and understanding with a topic or skill.
Practice sets can be a great way to use with blended learning stations and offer differentiation for the students
Google Classroom Video Activities
In a Nutshell, the new resource, Video Activities, within your Google classroom is just like interactive videos with question with Edpuzzle. Now instead of going to other online programs like Edpuzzle, you can take a youtube video and embed questions at different times in the video where the students will have to anwer the question.
What does Google Classroom Video Activities do for the teacher and student?
The students now become active listerns instead of passive listeners. This means while listening to a video to learn about a topic or skill they will need to answer questions which forces them to have to listen.
These video activities can provide teachers additional independent interactive and engaging activities to help students practice and reinforce a skill ro topic. All the results the teachers will be able to see to help guide their future instruction and building blending learning groups.
