Students worked on key mouse skills, such as drag and drop, plus learned how to move items using the keyboard arrows to create a Turkey within Google Slides. They also learned about "shift" to type their name. (Some kids were absent so weren't able to make one)

Learning about animals is part of the kindergarden curriculum within the classroom. This year the students became researchers (detectives) and learned about using an online source called pebblego.com which they used to listen and write down facts on a farm animal they choose. They then in the classroom took their facts and wrote complete sentences to form a paragraph teaching others all about their farm animal. They then went to the computer lab typed their information in a Google Slide. They learned how to take a picture of their animal drawing and insert it into a slide. With the help from the teacher, they were able to record their voices reading their paragraph on their animal. The teacher added their audio file to their slides to make a digital rea-aloud informational book. When you click to open the Book link you just need to click once a page is done to go to the next slide.
