Summer Scrapbook Interdisciplinary/Technology Project

This project was designed for students to be able to review many of the Google slides skills taught in 3rd gr and also were introduced to some new features that they were able to practice with. The students had to create a summer scrapbook slide hitting key elements that had them using all the Google skills including the new ones they just learned.

Animal Structure & Function Interdisciplinary/Technology Project

The students choose an animal. They had to research to find physical features (Structures) and the functions (adaptions) of the animal by doing research. The research component of this project included students to use critical thinking skills to complete. They were able to collaborate with others in identifying the structures/functions of their animal. From the research, they had to create a expository writing piece that focuses on their animal physical features and how these features help them survive within Google Docs. This allowed them to use many Google Docs skills they have learned to created a digital end product. Students also learned how to create citations for their sources using a online site called Mybib.

Gingerbread House Interdisciplinary/Technology Project

Part 1 - Engineering "The Blueprint"

The students had to design gingerbread houses using the many features within Google Slides that became their blueprint, which they used to create a physical gingerbread house based on their Google Slides design.
