The students had to design a new type of dinosaur from a series of dino parts on a Google Slide by dragging them so they look like the dino is hatching from an egg. The students became store owners of dinosaurs. The goal was to create and add about their dinosaur to try to get someone to buy their new hatched dino. They took their final writing and typing it into the Google Slide. They learned how to add an image as the background of a slide. They also needed to use text boxes to add labels to their dino. This was to create a slide of the habitate for their new dino. (Some students didn't get to the writing because absent)
Students have been learning about how items have changed over the years within the classroom. Students were given an item and how it looked a long time ago and had to write about it. Then also had to find a picture of the item but what it looks like or is now called today. They also had to do a writing piece on that item as well. The students took all their writing and has to type it up within a Google Slides file. They learned how to copy and paste items. They reviewed many skills in Google Slides they have been learning this year within this project. The students also recorded themselves reading their writing. Mr. badger added the audio to each student's Google Slide file.
